Turkish Airlines Baggage Allowance

• Each Economy passenger can bring one 40x30x15-inch, 8-kg bag, and a personal item. The maximum carry-on weight is 4 kg.

• Business Class passengers can bring one 40x30x15-inch suitcase and two 23x40x55-inch cabin bags weighing 16 kg max. 

The airline sells extra luggage online for 3 kg to 230 kg or 10 pieces. One piece of luggage can weigh 32 kg. The owners are required to transfer any bags weighing more than 32 kg. Your baggage' total width, length, and height cannot exceed 158 cm. Baggage can be checked in online for domestic flights 355 days before departure and for international flights up until 60 minutes preceding take-off with the airline.

Passengers on routes that employ the kilogram concept will be charged an additional baggage cost at the airport if the combined weight of their checked luggage and any extra bags they might have purchased exceed the complimentary checked luggage weight limit.

Turkish Airlines Check-In and Boarding Pass

To save time, you can check in using the designated app or site on your smartphone or tablet instead of standing in a line to choose your seat. Using the airline’s check-in app on your smartphone, you can bypass the queue and get right to the gate. You can begin the online check-in process 24 hours before your departure and have 90 minutes to complete it.

There is a two-hour minimum requirement for domestic flights and a three-hour minimum for international flights before travellers can check their luggage and clear security. You can make a small but substantial difference by using your cell phone boarding pass instead of paper. You may save time and breeze through security checks with a smartphone boarding permit.

You can skip the check-in queue and go directly to the departure area if you aren't carrying any luggage. Once you've checked in and your luggage is ready to go, you can simply make your way to the boarding area.

Turkish Airlines On-board Support

To provide a relaxing flight, the carrier offers discounts and other facilities to disabled and sick passengers. Requests for wheelchairs must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled flight and must be confirmed during the Turkish Airlines online booking process. Travel requests within 48 hours are subject to service availability.

Passengers with SMA must have medical gadgets, batteries that recharge, and a plug adapter for the aircraft. The carrier issues separate airplane tickets for stretcher-bound patients, who must fly with a partner. Within 10 days, the passenger and accompanying passenger must present a Turkish or English certificate certifying their fitness for the flight. Stretcher passengers might be subjected to a far higher cost than those flying in regular or single-ride fares.

About Turkish Airlines Refund & Cancellation

Only the landing cost will be refunded for no-shows with Turkish Airlines tickets. Non-refundable ticketing fees apply to cancellations. Domestic flight refunds and cancellations within 12 hours charge TRY 400. After deducting the ticketing service cost, the balance will be refunded. Cancellations and refunds 12 or more days before travel cost TRY 750. 

International flight cancellations and refunds are prohibited within 0 and 12 hours preceding departure, although taxes will be fully paid. For tax refunds, fuel oil, and admission fees are excluded. Cancellations made over twelve hours before departure will be issued 400 TRY.
